Beyond his professional endeavors, Professor Kim enjoys archery and cycling. He is the President of the Korea Student Cycling Federation, where he actively promotes cycling among students across the country.

Currently, Professor Kim holds several key positions. He is a Professor at Yonsei University College of Dentistry, in Seoul, South Korea, where he has been shaping future dental professionals and researchers since 1996. His innovative approaches to anatomical preservation and ultrasonography have revolutionized the way cadaveric studies are conducted, ensuring a more life-like experience for practitioners.

His influence extends beyond academia through his roles as Chairman of the Korea Association of Anatomist (KAA) since 2023, President of the Korea Oral Anatomy Association (KAOA) since 2022, and Editor in Chief of Anatomy and Cell Biology (ACB) since 2016. Since 2009, he has served as Associate Editor (Head and Neck) for Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy (SRA), contributing significantly to the field's body of knowledge. Additionally, he holds the position of Associate Editor for Clinical Anatomy since 2010 and is actively involved in global anatomical education as the Coordinator for Education Techniques and Innovation for the Federation International Programme for Anatomical Education (FIPAE).

Professor Kim's research interests are broad and impactful with over 350 publications in international and domestic journals. His work often intersects the fields of anatomy, radiology, and clinical applications, including innovative techniques in botulinum neurotoxin injection and anatomical considerations for cosmetic procedures.
